Real Madrid players have been booked DOUBLE the amount of Liverpool – but Reds actually make more Champions League fouls

REAL MADRID have double the amount of yellow cards than Liverpool in the Champions League yet have conceded less fouls than Jurgen Klopp's side.

Los Blancos average more than two fouls per game in this year's competition with 25 fouls in 12 games.

They have several repeat offenders too with centre-back Eder Militao and midfielder Casemiro the most guilty.

Casemiro somehow escaped a yellow card in the second leg of the semi-final against Manchester City and Liverpool's dangermen would do well to evade his attention in Saturday's final.

Interestingly, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is their most prolific fouler, making up 15 of their total 138 fouls this year, per Livefootballtickets.com.

By contrast, Real have made just 113 fouls in the Champions League though it seems they have been more cynical in nature.

Four players including Casemiro, Militao, Vinicius Jr. and Dani Carvajal have entered the double figures for fouls committed.

Casemiro, Militao, Carvajal and Ferland Mendy each have three yellow cards or more – meanwhile, no Liverpool player has more than two bookings.

Mane is the Reds' leading offender in that category too along with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota.

Liverpool's high press could be a reason for that but Mo Salah is an angel by comparison- making just three fouls in his 12 appearances.

Real star striker Karim Benzema is also one of his side's least dirty players, committing just two fouls in his 1061 Champions League minutes this term.

The Frenchman has often been quiet in games but takes just a second to show his magic – as Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City know all too well.

Benzema's deadly finishing means he tops the Champions League goalscoring charts with 15 – seven more than Liverpool dangerman Salah who has only one goal in the knock-out stages this season.
