Beckham, 20, was living it up in the United States playing football for his dad's MLS side Inter Miami while Mia was back at home in the UK pursuing her modelling career.
A source said maintaining a “long-distance relationship took its toll” on the duo.
However, David's son posted an adorable selfie of the happy couple after rekindling the relationship, leaving fans delighted – just 48 hours after Mia posted a series of snaps exploring and enjoying downtime with her boyfriend.
Romeo, decked out in a beanie hat, posed with a beaming Mia and captioned the Instagram post with a kiss emoji for his 3.6million followers.

She is managed by Storm modelling and was scouted at Birmingham Clothes Show.

Beckham is back in the UK after signing a loan transfer with Brentford B from Inter Miami.
The youngster made his debut as a second-half sub away at Erith & Belvedere in the London Senior Cup.
And his legendary dad sneaked in undercover to watch his son's performance – which included the corner that led to the Bees' equaliser – before hopping a fence to escape the crowds at the end.
