Simone Biles pulls OUT of USA's Tokyo 2020 team finals with 'medical issue' and will be 'assessed daily'

SIMONE BILES is OUT of the Women's Gymnastics Team event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Biles, 24, walked out of the competition floor at Tokyo 2020 after posting the LOWEST score of her career.

She did return to the competition floor later but was wearing a tracksuit and did not warm-up with her USA team-mates for the uneven bars.

And moments later official confirmation came that she had withdrawn from the Team event.

A USA Gymnastics statement read: "Simone has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions."

The Ohio gymnast was expected to win five Gold medals ahead of the Olympics, so has huge amounts of pressure to deal with.

She has spoke about the weight of expectation in an Instagram post after progressing through qualifying on Sunday.

She wrote: "It wasn’t an easy day or my best but I got through it.

"I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders at times.

"I know I brush it off and make it seem like pressure doesn’t affect me but damn sometimes it’s hard hahaha! The olympics is no joke! BUT I’m happy my family was able to be with me virtually. They mean the world to me!"

Biles made a rare mistake on the Vault, an event she has been tipped to win individual Gold by several experts.

Biles was seen to by a trainer at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre, according to the official Olympics account on Twitter – sparking fears of a possible injury.

The BBC claim Biles was seen flexing her ankle on the sidelines.

So it is possible Biles has withdrawn because she has one eye on the Women's Vault final, which takes place on Thursday.

She remained in the arena to cheer on his team-mates, who are still aiming for Olympic Gold in the Team event.
