OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER'S exuberant tactics could work in Liverpool's favour on Sunday, according to Jamie Carragher.
Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Old Trafford knowing that a win will put them back at the top of the Premier League table.
But United are unbeaten in nine league games since Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho.
Anfield veteran Carragher admitted it will be a tough fixture, but claimed Liverpool can take advantage of United's attacking approach.
The Sky Sports pundit, 41, said: "Well I think it will be a really difficult game for Liverpool, Manchester United are full of confidence.
"The way Manchester United are setting up now, they're really attacking on the front foot and really exciting to watch.
"Maybe that will give Liverpool more chance in terms of space also at Old Trafford.
"Whenever [Jose] Mourinho's teams played Liverpool at Old Trafford, there was very little space for [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah.
"They always found it really difficult in the past couple of years, so maybe this might change.
"But Liverpool's record is really poor at Old Trafford, maybe since Sir Alex Ferguson left. So that has to change."
Since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in 2013, Liverpool have played United at Old Trafford seven times.
The Merseyside club have managed to win just one of those matches, two ended as a draw and they lost the other four.
They will be desperate to buck that trend this weekend with Man City ramping up the pressure in the title race.
The title contenders currently sit level on 65 points, however City have played a game more.
