Brendan Rodgers has no interest in rejoining Celtic.

That’s as Ange Postecoglu heads to Tottenham.

Rodgers is the bookies’ favourite to replace the Aussie, who has just won the Treble.

But despite having nearly three trophy-laden seasons himself at Parkhead, Rodgers does not want a return to Scotland.

    Messi dream for Howe’s Toon

Newcastle’s owners have bought the Saudi clubs that Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema could be playing for next season.

And there are no rules to stop Toon from bringing in one of the superstars on loan.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund owns 80 per cent of the Magpies and have acquired Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

Sides under multi-club ownership can trade players, with PIF hinting at collaboration, yet there will be fierce resistance from Prem rivals if Newcastle try to land a global star on the cheap.

United also remain keen, but Brentford will demand top dollar having already landed a replacement in Freiburg’s Mark Flekken.

    Real ‘reserve No9 for Harry’

Real Madrid are reserving their No9 shirt for Harry Kane, according to reports in Spain.

The LaLiga giants waved goodbye to Karim Benzema after 14 years of service.

According to Marca, the Tottenham striker is "undoubtedly" Real Madrid's first choice target to replace Benzema.

They add that Real will keep their former forward's No9 shirt vacant in the hope that Kane will soon fill it, with initial contact already made between Carlo Ancelotti's side and Spurs.
