WATFORD striker Ashley Fletcher is close to joining New York Red Bulls on loan.
The 26-year-old has found game time hard to come by since signing for the Hornets in the summer.
He has made just three sub appearances in the Premier League this season.
He has also had to deal with THREE managerial changes after the sackings of Xisco Munoz and then Claudio Ranieri before Roy Hodgson took over last month.
And SunSport understands MLS giants NY Red Bulls are confident of snapping up the ex-Manchester United and West Ham forward in a temporary move.
Head coach Gerhard Struber is understood to be a big fan of the Englishman as he looks to strengthen his squad.
The MLS season begins this weekend – and their transfer window is open until May.
Fletcher scored on his debut for Watford in the EFL Cup second round in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace back in August.

Fletcher came through the Manchester United academy system alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford before signing for West Ham in 2016.
He joined Middlesbrough a year later, going on to score 28 goals in 108 appearances over a four-year period.
