WWE legend Goldberg to make ANOTHER comeback to ring with SummerSlam match against champion Bobby Lashley rumoured

WRESTLING legend Bill Goldberg is set to make another stunning return to the WWE, according to reports.

Goldberg hasn't set foot inside the ring since his unsuccessful bid to dethrone Drew McIntyre as WWE heavyweight champion at the Royal Rumble in January.

But the 54-year-old will reportedly be back in the ring in a matter of days.

That's according to Fightful Select, who claim the veteran is set to make his return on the next episode of Monday Night Raw.

And they also claim Golberg will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam next month.

They wrote: “Fightful has learned that as of Thursday, WWEs plan was for Bill Goldberg to return on Monday’s and to set up an eventual match with Bobby Lashley, targeted for SummerSlam.”

Fan favourite Goldberg is currently on a part-time contract with the WWE.

Before losing to Drew McIntrye, the WCW great lost the Universal Championship to Bruan Strowman at Wrestlemania 36.

There is no believability whatsoever in Xavier Woods beating Bobby Lashley, that's number one

Lashely, meanwhile, is currently gearing up to defend his title against Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank on Sunday night.

The former Bellator MMA fighter will go into the match on the back of a shock defeat to Xavier Woods.

And ex-WWE writer Vince Russo reckons it was a bad move to have Lashley lose before his clash with Kingston.

During the latest episode of Sportskeeda's Legion of Raw podcast, he said: "Here's the problem.

"If Lashley and Woods got in the ring as a shoot for a 100 times, Bobby Lashley would beat him a 100 times.

"There is no believability whatsoever in Xavier Woods beating Bobby Lashley, that's number one.

"Number two, Lashley loses with the roll-up, of course, the rollup, he loses. Now at that point he should be absolutely embarrassed and he should be looking for Woods to rip him to shreds.

"So first of all they beat him, which is totally unbelievable, this guy would never beat him, and second of all after he's embarrassed he doesn't look for this guy, so none of that stuff is believable.

"So Bobby Lashley gets rolled up by a guy that never in a million years would beat him and I'm okay with that for the next three hours? It doesn't make sense."
