Aaron Boone picked Saturday to give two of his hottest hitters a day of rest.

So a few more suddenly red-hot bats carried the day instead for an offense that is beginning to find its stride.

Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres combined for five hits and six RBIs to power the Yankees to a 6-4 win over the Tigers on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees got another strong pitching performance from their starter, with Jameson Taillon striking out eight over five innings of one-run ball. He recorded his first win in exactly two years, with his second Tommy John surgery in between.

It wasn’t a laugher like the 10-0 win the Yankees (13-14) breezed to Friday night, but even with Giancarlo Stanton and Gio Urshela on the bench, they racked up eight more hits as they inched toward .500 — within one game of even for the first time since they were 5-6.

Judge, who had been out of the lineup Wednesday and Thursday with unspecified lower-body soreness, continued to mash upon his return. After crushing a pair of home runs Friday, he went 3-for-5 Saturday with three RBIs. His run-scoring double in the fifth inning gave the Yankees the lead for good and he provided some breathing room in the sixth with a two-run single.

Torres added two hits and three RBIs, improving to 13-for-39 over his past 10 games.

DJ LeMahieu also provided a spark at the top of the lineup, getting on base three times with two singles and a walk while scoring twice.

Justin Wilson, pitching for the first time since Monday, and Chad Green combined to give up three runs out of the bullpen. But Aroldis Chapman slammed the door shut in the ninth for his fifth save in as many chances this season.

After Taillon held the Tigers (8-20) hitless through three innings, they finally got to him for their first hit in the fourth inning and made it hurt. Taillon left a hanging slider over the plate and Jeimer Candelario crushed it for a solo home run to tie the game at one.

Taillon needed just 52 pitches to get through four innings, but then labored for 27 pitches in the fifth, though he got out of it unscathed by leaving the bases loaded with a huge strikeout of Miguel Cabrera.

The Yankees regained the lead in the bottom of the inning, ensuring Taillon left in line for the win. LeMahieu led off the frame with a single, stole second and took third on a throwing error. He came around to score when Judge drilled a double to the gap in left-center field to put the Yankees ahead 2-1.

The Yankees were on the verge of wasting a bases-loaded, no-out scenario in the bottom of the sixth before Judge came through with a two-run single. Two batters later, Torres added another two-run single to make it a 6-1 Yankees lead.
