Adam Cole is itching for AEW to hit the UK for a live show – with Fulham’s Craven Cottage still the leading candidate for the event.
Fulham co-owner and General Manager Tony Khan is the founder of All Elite Wrestling and has made no secret about his desire to bring the mayhem and madness of his company to these shores.
Their success since launching three years ago has seen them firmly established as one of the most popular wrestling companies in the world – so it’s only natural that overseas events will follow soon enough.
It’s possible that may have happened already were it not for COVID and the restrictions that’s placed on events and travel, but one AEW star in Cole remains ‘desperate’ to get over here.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Cole revealed he’s long since admired the wrestling fan base in the UK, and said he’d be at the front of the queue when it comes to performing at any British bash.
"I am happy to talk about this because I am desperate to go over to the UK,” he said. “Like really, really bad.
"I remember being a young, 20-year-old kid and wrestling in the UK for the first time.
"I was like 'oh my god, I have never, ever wrestled in front of fans like this before!'
"I was obsessed. I remember being like 'maybe I could just move to the UK and wrestle there?'
"They're amazing, so to get an even bigger group of them where the fans are already super passionate and ready to have a good time?

"I can't imagine the environment and atmosphere that an AEW show in the UK show would have.
"I'll be the first person on the plane and I'm ready to go over and have the show – that would be incredible.
"I know a lot of people feel like I do, not just Tony and I."
AEW has attracted fans from all over the globe, many of whom will descend on for this weekend’s Revolution pay-per-view.

That’ll be headlined by Cole’s AEW world title challenge of Hangman Page, with Khan telling a media conference ahead of the show that a UK extravaganza remains high on his list of priorities.
He said: "It is absolutely something I am looking to do… particularly Craven Cottage is a venue I'd love to bring AEW.
"It is my favourite place in the world, and I can only imagine how happy it would make me to bring two things I love so much together… for worlds to collide, it would be really special."
Khan even hinted that other parts of the country could play host to future events, saying: "I have driven pretty much all over the country of England going to away matches and business meetings as the General Manager and Director of Fulham.
"Absolutely, it is something I really want to do."
