A three-year-old dog has been named Marigold after her distinctive yellow paws make her look like she’s wearing household cleaning gloves.
The golden-pawed pooch was found straying and taken in by RSPCA Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
Staff are unsure how she got her yellow paws but think it could be due to pesticide or dye from farmers’ fields, or as a result of an iodine spray for sore feet.
CEO Rachel Jones says: “We’re sure she’ll be back to her wonderful white colouring soon but we loved her golden paws so much that we decided to name her Marigold as it looks like she’s got her gloves on for a spring clean!”
Marigold is currently looking for a home with patient owners who can give her time and space to settle.
This news comes after a bulldog was hailed as 'miracle mother' after she gave birth to bright green puppy.
Trevor and Audra Mosher, owners of dog Freya, immediately feared the worst for the new pup after believing that its unusual colour meant she had been stillborn.
But to their huge surprise the tiny female puppy — part of a litter of eight born in Canada — began moving almost immediately, and has been thriving ever since.
She has begun life without any significant health problems, with her green tinge being put down to an unusual process in the womb.
Describing the moment of their shock discovery, Trevor told Global News: “We started to dry her off and noticed she was green and immediately again thought there was something wrong.

"So we googled it, ‘my puppy is green, what’s wrong,’ and apparently it is very rare and it has happened a few times all over the world.”
She had been born surrounded a black sac unlike all her siblings, who were all found inside translucent ones.
The rare discolouration of her fur is thought to come from a green pigment found in the bile inside the sac.
