Archie Battersbee was described as his mother’s “best little boy” as she paid tribute to him at his funeral today, September 13.
The funeral began today at 12pm at St Mary's Church in Prittlewell, Southend, where mum Hollie Dance praised her son.
On April 7, the young boy, 12, was found unresponsive by Hollie at their home in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, ultimately suffering severe brain damage.

She believed her son may have been taking part in an online challenge when he was injured.
Paying tribute today, Hollie said he was a "very skilled, and very, very energetic" boy.
"He was the best little boy, ever, he was just perfect,” she said in a tearful speech.
Adding to the packed church that he was a "perfect little man", Hollie was seen welling up during the service.
The emotional ceremony was wrapped up with the song Amazing Grace with mourners forced to share sheets because so many people had been in attendance, EssexLive reports.
Hundreds are understood to have packed into the church where a video tribute was played to the life Archie led.

A choir sang a fantastic rendition of Mariah Carey's One Sweet Day, with a letter from St Paul to the Corinthians the first reading heard.
A friend of young Archie said his mate had "loved boxing and gymnastics" and paid testament to how much fun he had been to hang out with.
Boxing gloves were shown on the order of service.
Archie’s coffin was taken out to a horse-drawn cart with flowers everywhere.
Hundreds lined the streets as he was taken off to the family’s private burial.
