A toddler was reportedly killed by a car on holiday after the child got out of bed and wandered out of the home where he was staying with his family.
His bereaved parents reportedly believed the youngster was still asleep when the tragedy occurred.
The 21-month-old British boy was reportedly hit by a jeep just after 9am yesterday near the village of Ballinagare in Ireland's County Roscommon, where it is understood the family was holidaying.
It's understood the tot's parents came to Ireland on holiday from the UK and were staying with family members when the incident occurred.
The young boy reportedly left his bed and wandered out of the house on his own while his parents were sleeping. a source told the Irish Daily Mail.
The crash with the jeep then allegedly happened when a driver didn't see the child as he drove into the area near where the family had been staying.
