Cheeky monkeys caught having sex on car bonnet during family trip to safari park

A family trip to the zoo left a family in hysterics after two monkeys were caught have sex on a car inches away from the passengers.

Chloe and Alex Pope, from Bristol, took their three children to Longleat Safari Park last week for a fun-filled day.

The family made it around the park without a scratch but left in hysterics after they caught two monkeys bonking on their car.

Chloe said she managed to capture the split-second "hilarious" moment in a Facebook post and said the couple can’t "stop laughing" at the image.

In the picture, both monkeys can be seen standing on the family’s car window having sex.

One animal looks to be concentrating pretty hard on the deed, while the other is staring straight into the car and looking Alex in the eye.

Alex, who works in I.T. is pointing at the animal while laughing as several others climb on board the bonnet.

Chloe said: "I was taking videos and pictures of the monkeys and I managed to capture that moment in a split second.

"It was a hilarious moment; I'm not sure the kids realised what was happening…

"We've been before and love going to see the monkeys."

She added: "My husband found it hilarious and we couldn't stop laughing when we looked back at the picture.

"The way she's eyeballing my husband whilst in the middle of it is the funniest part for me!"

Longleat Safari and Adventure Park in Wiltshire, England, was opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa.

Park management announced they would close this month in response to fresh restrictions.

In a statement, the park said: "Due to the increased number of areas that have now been placed into tier 3 and 4 we have taken the difficult decision to close Longleat early for this season from 1st January 2021."
