Denver weather: Breezy, warm day, possible rain, snow Thursday evening

Denver residents face a breezy day with a high temperature of around 51 degrees Thursday before clouds increase and bring possible rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Night low temperatures are expected to decrease to 29 degrees Thursday. On Friday, more snow was expected but with little or no accumulation, weather service forecasters said.

Mountain snow showers were expected to ease Thursday morning, then resume by the afternoon. And those storms may roll into metro Denver, bringing rain to the city and eastward onto the eastern high plains Thursday evening, the weather service said, shifting to snow Thursday night.

Thursday morning, weather service forecasters posted a warning to watch out for fog on roads north of metro Denver in eastern Boulder and southwestern Weld counties with visibility reduced to 50 feet or less. “Use low beams and slow down,” the weather service advised.
