Denver will see sunny skies Sunday ahead of a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder.
City residents can expect partly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 79 degrees Sunday. The region has an about 20% chance of seeing afternoon thunderstorms after 3 p.m., according to the weather service.
The scattered storms in Denver are not expected to be severe, though the eastern plains may see stronger afternoon thunderstorms with potentially damaging hail and wind, according to the weather service.
