Even before the pandemic, Doral was ‘severely underperforming,’ the Trump Organization told local tax officials in 2017, the Washington Post reported.

The proposed building boom comes after Trump reported revenue suffered a steep drop at Doral during his final year in office, to $44 million from $77 million a year, according to his last disclosure form, Fortune reported last year.

Late last month the Trump Organization settled with the PGA Tour after it announced after the Capitol riot it would relocate its 2022 championship. A brief statement said the matter had been settled, and did not mention any monetary aspect.
