Fort Collins police ask for public’s help in locating missing woman

Investigators in Fort Collins are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who has been reported missing.

A relative of 32-year-old Christine Cummings contacted police on Friday Jan. 1 to report that she had not been “heard from in several days,” according to a news release.

Cummings was last known to be at her residence on Dec. 29, the release said. “Officers tried to contact her at home, but neither she nor her vehicle were there.”

Family believes she may have gone hiking and they’re concerned about her safety.

Cummings has been listed as a “missing person.” Police have notified staff at Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National parks because “she frequents those locations,” the release said.

She is described as a white female, with brown hair and blue eyes. She’s about 5’7″ tall and weighs about 140 pounds. Cummings drives a black 2015 Jeep SUV with Colorado license plate EOL-263. Investigators do not have any indication of foul play.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts, or with possible sightings of Cummings or her Jeep, is asked to call Det. Marty Shaw at 970-416-2051.
