Horror live stream killings as bodybuilder shoots ex-wife and two others dead

An award-winning Bosnian bodybuilder who livestreamed the murder of his wife in front of their infant child before going on a killing spree has committed suicide.

A huge manhunt was underway Friday for Nermin Sulejmanovic, 35, after he posted a video on Instagram in which he shot his wife in the head, with police erecting roadblocks across the affected town of Gradacac.

The suspect later published another video on Instagram, claiming to have shot at least two other people while on the run.

The events, which left the nation’s prime minister speechless, caused huge unrest in the northeastern regions of Bosnia while the police continued to search for the suspect.

The man is believed to have killed three people, including his wife, and injured a further three others before taking his own life after being located by the police.

The horrific video Sulejmanovic streamed on Instagram opened with him saying those that were watching were about to see a murder play out live.

He then took a fun and fired a bullet into the forehead of a woman believed to be his wife. The distressed cries of the couple’s baby daughter can be heard in the background.

The alleged killer later said: “I warned everyone that it would come to this. She has been hiding my child for eight days. I’m waiting to load my weapon and move on.”

The bodybuilder then proceeded to go on the run, intermittently posted videos to Instagram claiming to have killed more people and planning to cause more harm.

His other two victims are reportedly a father and his son. He also wounded one policeman, another man and a woman in different locations in Gradacac.

The police later confirmed that the bodybuilder “committed suicide after being located and before being apprehended”.

Police did not immediately offer any more details, but added that people who wrote supportive messages while clicking on the man’s Instagram posts Friday will be questioned and could possibly face legal repercussions.

“I have no words to describe what happened today in Gradacac,” said Nermin Niksic, the Prime Minister of the Bosnian Federation. “The murderer took his own life in the end, but no one can bring back the lives of the victims.”
