The station is now fully open and trains are running as normal.

The Victoria Line was not running between Warren Street and Brixton and there were severe delays on the rest of the line.

"Your tickets will also be accepted on Southeastern, South Western Railway, Great Northern and Overground train services."

Why was it evacuated?

At around 7.15am the Victoria Line Twitter account posted an alert which stated that there was no service between Warren Street and Brixton while "emergency services deal with a casualty on the track".

The rest of the line was facing severe delays and tickets are also being accepted on Southeastern and South Western Railway.
