Kate Middleton's birthday may be "overshadowed" for the second year in a row by Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle but does not hold "resentment," a royal expert has suggested.
The Duchess of Cambridge turns 39 today and will spend it at home with Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, after celebration plans were scrapped following Boris Johnson’s national lockdown.
It is set to be a "disappointing" day, Brittani Barger, deputy editor of Royal Central, has said but Covid is now "the new normal."
Sadly for Kate, Ms Barger claims Kate may face being |overshadowed| by Prince Harry and Meghan as the couple’s next podcast episode is expected any day now.
She told the Daily Star the couple don’t have a "schedule for when their podcasts are going to be released" but are focusing on the next Archewell Audio episode.
Ms Barger said she doesn’t think the couple will make an episode to intentionally release an episode "with the goal of overshadowing" Kate’s birthday but added that a release soon is expected.
She added: "I don't think that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would intentionally release their podcast with the goal of overshadowing the Duchess of Cambridge's birthday.
"We really don't have a schedule for when their podcasts are going to be released but one is expected."
Ms Barger also said she doesn’t see them "making a podcast to specifically mark" the one-year anniversary of Megxit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are however, focusing on Archewell Audio and will possibly focus on "unity" as the U.S. is in "turmoil."
She said: "I don't see them making a podcast to specifically mark their announcement to step back from royal duties.
"I think they are focusing on other things with Archewell Audio and will possibly focus on unity as the U.S. is in turmoil right now."
