A FAMILY home has gone on the market for £775,000 – but the new owner will need to be ready to roll their sleeves up and graft before moving the kids in.
The detached property in Walthamstow, north-east London, looks like a standard family house from the outside.
However, once inside, the scale of the work that needs to be done quickly becomes clear.
The sizeable living room boasts large windows which let in lots of light – but that's where the good news ends.
The floorboards have been left exposed, with mould growing along the walls and a truly hideous gas fireplace in the hearth.
A second living space also features a bricked-up fireplace, although a set of large glass doors suggest how lovely the property may once have been.
More black mould can be found on the walls of one of the three bedrooms, along with a faded and dated floral carpet.
Eyes will doubtless widen during a tour of the bathroom – as the toilet is enough to make even hardened festival-goers accustomed to filthy portaloos pale in horror.
Would-be buyers may find their jaws dropping even further when they head out into the overgrown garden.
Greenery from the lot has grown so wild that it's made its way indoors, with creepers reaching up walls.
But optimistic agents at Haart say there's much to like – and the home could be "amazing".
Perhaps underplaying the scale of the work a bit, they advertise the property as being "in need of renovation" – but add: "This detached three-bedroom home has two reception rooms, an attached garage and a sizeable rear garden, all offered chain-free.

Earlier this year, we told the story of a homeowner who baffled neighbours by leaving his garden so overgrown a boat was found hidden under the weeds and brambles.
No one in the cul de sac of 15 or so houses in Burnham on Sea, Somerset, reports having seen Dr Paul Impey, 59, for around three years.
Since he was last seen at the property, in 2018, his garden had grown out of control.
And when council workers moved to clear it, they found a 30-year-old Toyota Celica, a four-metre Flatacraft RIB (rigid inflatable boat), several rusted bicycles, a lawn mower and a collapsed wooden shed underneath.
And a three-bed home priced at just £90,000 was labelled one of the filthiest ever to go on the market.
The house in Milton Keynes had been utterly neglected, with old clothes, piles of rubbish and buckets filled with water inside.
Bags of junk were also been dumped outside the property, while the once-white walls are covered in black dirt.
Meanwhile, the bathroom was truly filthy and caked with grime – with the floor thick with grease and scum.
