A man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend told police he was carrying a "400lb sex doll" when it was revealed that there was doorbell footage of him moving a body.
Nicholas Matzen, 35, was arrested on Wednesday (May 11) in connection with the death of Emily Rogers, 23, in Wisconsin, USA.
Matzen is also the father of Rogers' one-year-old child and has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide as well as hiding a corpse.
According to court documents obtained by The Sun, police falsely told Matzen that he was seen on doorbell footage carrying a body from the home the couple shared.
In response he told them he was carrying a sex doll weighing 400lbs.
He reportedly refused to tell them where the sex doll was now when questioned further.
The court documents state that Rogers was last seen on April 26 and was reported missing on April 28 when a friend could not get in touch with her.
Matzen was actually arrested on April 17 regarding an unrelated issue and was released on April 27.

Roger's body then turned up last Thursday (May 5) in some woodland near an industrial area, hidden under a Christmas tree, in the city of St Francis.
Matzen apparently told a friend that "I f***** up, I hurt her", and that he'd broken her neck and killed her following an argument, according to a criminal complaint.
The man said Rogers told Matzen that she was leaving him and he "lost it".
Police suspect Matzen killed her and dumped her body in St Francis, with another man allegedly saying that he helped the accused wrap the body in a rug using an extension cord.
The autopsy ruled the cause of death as asphyxia in the manner of homicide, according to the criminal complaint.
According to The Sun, the victim's father Terry Rogers revealed the couple's young daughter was found safe and unharmed after she had also vanished.
Matzen faces up to 60 years behind bars if he's convicted and is currently being held on $500,000 (£409,000) cash bail.
