Last week saw the former President of the United States Barrack Obama turn 60 and Meghan Markle turn 40.
While Meghan reportedly opted for a low-key affair the man who was once the most powerful individual on Earth had big plans for a huge party.
Unfortunately in a last minute move Mr Obama's big day was scaled back due to Covid restrictions and an invite list which once burst with 475 names was forced to be drastically reduced.
It is not entirely clear whether Prince Harry and Meghan were sent an official invitation to the president's birthday celebrations. but one royal expert claims that the royal couple never featured on the original list of nearly 500.
Author Angela Levin wrote in The Sun that Meghan "desperately wanted" to be among the guests at the three-day party.
She said: "I am told that despite claiming she was unable to attend, Meghan desperately wanted to be the special guest at the Obama’s amazing party.
"But the fact is, Harry and Meghan were never even on the original list."

According to reports the final list of invitees included Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Gayle King and George and Amal Clooney.
It has been claimed Meghan and Harry's absence from Barack Obama's birthday celebrations could be due to the former president and his wife's loyalty to the Queen.
Royal expert Camilla Tominey wrote in the Telegraph that the Obamas hadn’t liked Harry attacking his family.
She said: "It arguably will not have gone down well with a couple who have always put 'family first' to see Harry and Meghan being so openly critical of their royal relatives during their Oprah interview in March."
According to Page Six, the Sussexes said they were "not planning to attend" the party, though it's not known whether it's because they weren't invited, or because they couldn't make it.
