Meghan Markle could return to the UK with Prince Harry later this year, a royal expert has suggested.
The Duke of Sussex made a flying visit back home last week for the scaled-back unveiling of the Princess Diana statue with his brother Prince William.
According to Nine news royal correspondent Natalie Oliveri, the reunion with his brother amid a rumored fallout “didn’t really amount to anything”.
But, with reports suggesting a larger ceremony could take place in September as Covid restrictions lift, Harry could return with his wife.
“There are reports that Prince Harry could be coming back to the UK in just 10 weeks time in September but this time his wife Meghan could be joining him,” she said.
“It hasn't been confirmed by the palace but this larger celebration is believed to be allowing some of Diana's friends and family to celebrate her life who couldn't attend the statue unveiling on July 1.
"This larger celebration in September will allow Diana's friends and family to celebrate her life, her 60th birthday and Meghan could join her husband this time.”
Natalie did point out that the pair will still have two very small children – Archie who is two and Lilibet who was only born on June 4.
“It would be nice to see the Duchess of Sussex back on UK soil and it would be nice for Harry to return and spend more time with his brother,” she added.
“There are rumours that his catch up on Thursday didn't really amount to anything, that the royal rift is still going strong.”
At the unveiling on July 1, William was caught on camera delivering a warning to his brother about the importance of the event.
Harry’s astonished words after seeing the statue for the first time were also picked up by a lip reader.
Meanwhile, a royal expert has claimed the Duke of Sussex opted for a suit that was different to wife Meghan’s favoured style – and it may have been a nod to Princess Diana.
