"Megxit" was a factor in Prince Charles and Prince William forging a closer relationship claims a Royal insider.
The Duke of Cambridge's wife Kate Middleton has also instrumental in tightening the bond between them it's been claimed.
The pair are said to be seeking each other's counsel, with Charles consulting his son instead of imposing his own views.
Over the past two years, the two men have become much closer, their bond much stronger, according to Mail on Sunday Royal editor Emily Andrews, reports the Express.
One aide reportedly said Prince Charles was giving William much more input, realising his own reign will be a shorter one than his son's, making it crucial he's involved in planning she claimed.
Royal insider Ms Andrews added: "A key factor in the two men's maturing relationship, of course, has been Harry's move to California. Charles's initial inclination was to try to make a half-in/half-out Royal role work for Harry and Meghan.
"But ultimately he united with William and the Queen, who, at the so-called Sandringham Summit to discuss the crisis in January last year, told the Sussexes that a hybrid option would not work. At the Sandringham Summit, Harry and Meghan would drop their ‘Sussex Royal’ brand and stop using their HRH titles."
Harry also lost a number of military titles after stepping down. After resettling in California, the Sussexes agreed to a number of major commercial deals. The couple have agreed to produce films, documentaries and children’s shows for streaming giant Netflix and launched the Archewell Audio podcast on Spotify.

Ms Andrews revealed Kate also played a key role in strengthening the relationship between her husband and father-in-law.
She wrote: "Kate, 39, has also been instrumental in fostering the father/son relationship. Organising Charles's family portrait for his 70th birthday with Harry and William, who had fallen out spectacularly, did not prove easy.
"She helped make it happen and ensured that all the children synchronised smiles for the camera."
"Last summer, Kate made sure that her family was back in time from their holiday to the Isles of Scilly to coincide with Charles's stay, so 'Grandpa' could give birthday presents to seven-year-old George."
William and Kate are currently staying at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk home, along with their three children. They moved out of London shortly before the third coronavirus lockdown was imposed.
Both Charles and William caught coronavirus last spring though William only revealed this publicly last November to avoid causing undue panic.
