Mia Khalifa pays emotional tribute to Taylor Hawkins days after Foo Fighters gig

Mia Khalifa has paid an emotional tribute to Foo Fighters star Taylor Hawkins just days after she saw them live in Chile.

The former Pornhub star and Playboy model shared a heart-wrenching tribute following the death of Taylor Hawkins in his hotel room in the Colombian capital Bogota.

The model posted a video from a gig she went to in Chile on March 18, along with a number of photos and quotes from the rockstar. Alongside the videos, she wrote: "I can't believe I witnessed THIS this week, and [I] am reading this news now."

Continuing onto the next video, she wrote: "Charisma larger than life. Legends never die… thank you for everything you have given us, Taylor Hawkins."

The 29-year-old also described Taylor Hawkins as "our drum hero" and wrote on another Instagram story: "Always un-afraid to speak to the truth".

Since the announcement of the 50-year-old's death before the legendary rock group were due to appear on stage in front of thousands of fans, local police forces have confirmed that the death may have been caused by drugs.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police of Bogota, said: "The cause of death has yet to be established.

"According to those close to him, the death could be related to the consumption of drugs."

The group confirmed the news to their fans in an emotional post, saying they were "devastated" by the heartbreaking news.

In a statement, the rock group said: "The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins.

"His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.

"Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."

Other celebrities across the world also took to social media to share their condolences and tributes as they remembered the musician.

The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne said: "Taylor Hawkins was truly a great person and an amazing musician. My heart, my love and my condolences go out to his wife, his children, his family, his band and his fans. See you on the other side – Ozzy."

While Ringo Starr added: "God bless Taylor peace and love to all his family and the band peace and love."

Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher typed: "Absolutely devastated to hear the sad news about Taylor Hawkins my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends RIP brother LG x."

The official band account for Nickelback shared: "In utter disbelief at the news of Taylor Hawkins. Our deepest condolences to his family, his bandmates, his team, his friends and everyone that was ever touched by the music he created with @foofighters @Alanis and so many others. This is so incredibly sad."
