Miracle bloke plunges nine storeys, smashes into parked BMW and survives

A 31-year-old man has been discharged from hospital after surviving a nine storey fall from a New Jersey high rise block.

The man, who has not been identified, was hospitalised for two months while he received treatment for his injuries, being in a critical condition after the fall on October 6.

Astonishingly, he was even able to speak and even briefly walk after the fall, reportedly asking an eye witness "what happened" after landing on a BMW parked on the street below.

Disturbing video footage shows the man lying on the pavement with his right arm hanging limply and groaning in pain while people around try to reassure him that an ambulance is on the way.

Medical staff at the hospital later said that his condition had later become "life-threatening", and he needed urgent medical treatment.

However, although he suffered from a mangled right arm as well as gashes on his head and possible internal injuries, he physically recovered from the ordeal after being cared for in hospital.

Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, a spokesperson for Jersey City, told the New York Post: “The man survived and was released from the hospital last month.”

Witnesses claim that the man had later said he "wanted to die" in the aftermath of his fall. He did not work in the building he fell from.

Eyewitnesses to the fall claim that they heard a "boom" and saw the man in the shattered BMW.

They claim that the window of the car had "exploded" as the man hit the parked vehicle with a face mask strap still hanging from his ear.
