‘Miss Piggy’ who had nose bitten off jailed for syringe attack on Uber driver

A woman known as “Miss Piggy” has been jailed after threatening to stab a taxi driver with a syringe.

Mohammed Dara was mugged by 43-year-old Louise Dean while his private hire vehicle was stationary in Walkden, Salford, Greater Manchester.

She entered the stationary vehicle with the syringe and made “stabbing motions” towards his neck”.

When Mr Dara tried to flee she chased him around the car, eventually taking off with his watch and £30 in cash.

Named Miss Piggy for her missing nose – which she lost after it was bitten off by a woman in a fight over a credit card – her vile attack came at the end of Mr Dara’s seven-hour shift.

He has since quit his job and has undertaken therapy to help him with subsequent depression from the December 2019 attack and claims later made by Dean that he owed her money for sex.

Manchester Crown Court heard Dean, from Weaste, Salford, pleaded guilty to robbery.

She was handed a sentence of three years and nine months.

James Worsford, prosecuting said: ”[Dean] opened the door and got in the victim’s stationary vehicle despite his protestations that he already had a pre-arranged booking and that she had to get out.

“Once in the car she pulled a syringe and started making stabbing motions towards the victim. The victim noticed that the syringe had a metal tip and was dirty.

“She threatened to stab him if he did not pay her money.”

After the incident, Mr Dara: “Then got back in his car and actually completed his last fare, which took him to Warrington. But following that he reported the incident to police.”

Mr Worsford added: ''In interview, she claimed that the victim was no stranger to her and in fact had paid her for sex a number of times in the months prior.”

She claimed she was seeing him to get extra fees owed to her by the cabby.

“However, this was later proved to be a complete lie, as police found no trace of contact with the victim on her phone,” Mr Wosrford added.

“Mr Dara gave up work immediately after this incident. That night was his last fare as a taxi driver.”

Dean’s counsel Thomas James, said in defence: “In 2021 Ms Dean was subject to a brutal attack by another female, who bit her nose off and was left with permanent facial disfigurement.

“Her family situation has collapsed and she is no longer welcome among them. Her estrangement meant she has lived in various hostels and temporary accommodation.”

He added: “She doesn’t recall much from the incident that night although she is very upset to hear about what has happened to the victim and feels remorse.”

Judge John Potter told her in sentencing: “You may express remorse now but in your police interview you told a shocking disgraceful pack of lies designed to further demean your victim.

”That was an appalling lie bluntly adding insult to an earlier injury. Naturally, Mr Dara heard the allegations put against him and this lead him into further anguish.

“He has since had to give up driving after four years on the job. In fact, the fare he took last night proved to be his last."
