A naked man was spotted on a doorbell camera stealing an American flag from a home and walking away with it while covering his private parts.
The bizarre incident took place just outside an Ormond Beach home in Florida, US, on March 3 as police shared the video online in bid to identify the man.
The clip shows a long-haired, fully bearded man walking up the steps onto the porch of a home while holding a bag to cover his modesty.
He then grabs a pole from the ceiling and takes the star and stripes flag down as he ditches his bag to the side.
Holding the national flag up to his chest, the man walks away with it covering his naked body.
According to Fox35, the home owner said she was alerted to the theft around 6am by her home security camera.
Volusia Sheriff's Office posted the clip on Facebook and wrote on Tuesday (March 8): "Don't know the back story here but we're looking to identify a naked man who stole an American flag from a home on John Anderson Drive in Ormond Beach last week.

The sheriff's office described the man as white, with long brown hair and full beard.
One viewer called it the most "bizarre and disrespectful" incident he's ever seen, saying: "There are so many questions here. But still how the heck he got himself in that situation?!"

Another said: "Looks like he stole the flag to cover his naked body. I mean if I ended up naked outside I'd steal the first thing I see that could cover my body too.
"Leave the man alone. He's probably embarrassed enough plus now he's online naked to make the embarrassment worse. He just owes them a new flag."
