LAW enforcement officials have rushed to secure a middle school after the institution received threatening calls.
Officials at Pierce Middle School in Milton, Massachusetts, issued the lockdown orders on Friday morning, asking parents and guardians to avoid the building.
“Pierce Middle School is currently in a lockdown situation,” the school said in a message on their website.
“Currently, all Pierce students and staff are executing the procedures we have in place for lockdown situations.
"At this time, we are asking parents/guardians not to drive to Pierce as you will not be allowed in the building."
The message added that school officials’ “immediate goal is to ensure all students and staff are safe.”
