Prince Harry and Meghan Markle knew naming their daughter Lilibet after the Queen's nickname would be seen as "disrespectful", a royal expert has claimed.
Expert Tom Quinn went as far to say it was "beyond belief" that the Duke of Sussex would use the name for his daughter with its relevance to the Queen, who passed away in September last year.
Despite the touching tribute made through the naming of their daughter, the expert slammed the couple's naming decision.

He alleged: "[Harry] surely would have known that appropriating the monarch's beloved childhood nickname would be perceived by many as disrespectful and intrusive in a way that naming their daughter Elizabeth would have not been."
He aired his concerns in latest book Guilded Youth, where he blasted the royal for his "cynical" choice that was perceived by the author as weighing up their "royal currency".
The Queen did not publicly share her thoughts on the name, although biographer Gyles Brandreth claimed she was "touched" by the tribute.
Quinn, however, believes some may have been "irritated" by the choice of name.

He continued: "It is perhaps more likely that the flunkeys who surround the monarch and some of the starchier older royals were irritated by what they saw as a presumption.
"Meghan would never have thought naming her daughter Lilibet was anything other than a huge compliment; in the UK, it looks like an impertinence, and this is emblematic of many of Meghan’s difficulties."
The nickname had served as a childhood nickname for Queen Elizabeth II, reportedly because she struggled to say her full name as a child.
It may add insult to injury as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found their favourability had slumped when compared to Kate Middleton, Daily Star reported.
