Prince Harry to drop new Spare chapter as readers ‘eager’ for first draft

Prince Harry is set to drop a new Spare chapter as his readers are "eager" to know more about life in the Royal Family.

The Duke's teasing release of a new chapter comes as he previously hinted at an "unforgivable" first draft that would ruin relations with the Royal Family, particularly brother Prince William.

Already giving readers unprecedented access to behind the scenes of the Royal Family, the Duke of Sussex could be adding an extra chapter ahead of the paperback release.

What the addition will entail is currently unknown, but Express reported that the Duke is set to shovel out a few more words of his original 800-page draft.

A publishing insider told Page Six: "Prince Harry is already planning to add at least one new chapter…to the paperback version…out later this year or early next, when the hardcover sales have ended.

"Readers are eager to know (Harry and Meghan’s) feelings about the royal backlash they have suffered after the airing of their Netflix doc and the publication of Spare."

It comes as Prince Harry himself told of the possible extra content to come from Spare.

Daily Star previously reported that the Duke had cut "unforgivable" content from his autobiography, details that "could fill another book".

Instead of another book, it appears another chapter will suffice for Prince Harry, who could be adding an extra one to his paperback release of Spare.

Speaking late last year, the Duke revealed: "The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages.

"It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.

"There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me."
