Prince Harry’s Spare adds ‘fuel to Meghan book fire’ as ‘key chapters missing’

Prince Harry's explosive memoir Spare has sparked claims Meghan could be working on a book of her own as some of the "key chapters" were "oddly missing", an expert claimed.

Royal critic Daniela Elser alleged that a number of "key chapters" are missing from the Duke of Sussex's autobiography, released earlier this month.

Her insight into the missing pages comes as she questions the more controversial aspects of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's time outside of the Royal Family, noting the lack of Oprah interview mentions.

Expert Elser noted it was "oddly missing" from the "400-plus pages of Spare" that released earlier last week.

Elser, writing for news.com.au, said: "Adding further fuel to the Meghan book fire is the fact that there are some, one would have thought, key chapters that are oddly missing from Spare."

She added that Meghan had "what sounded like, to I'm guessing the entire world, an accusation of racism" that Prince Harry later denied in an interview with Tom Bradby.

Elser continued: "Harry, speaking to the UK’s Tom Bradby last week, denied that Meghan had essentially called the Royal Family racist, explaining it was about unconscious bias instead."

It comes as Harry denied the comments made in the Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021 were to do with racism.

Elser added that the interview between the Sussexes and Oprah had noted there "had been 'concerns and conversations about how dark' their first baby's 'skin might be'."

The "uproar" that followed, Elser said, did not feature in Spare.

Expert Elser added: "Still, no matter how the Sussexes might characterise the original royal “conversation” scene and the uproar set off by the Oprah moment, none of it crops up anywhere in the 400-plus pages of Spare."

It follows claims aired by Prince Harry that he was keen to "go to war" with royal experts and members of the press ahead of his and Meghan Markle's wedding day.
