The Queen allegedly said "thank goodness Meghan is not coming" to Prince Philip's funeral, a bombshell new book has claimed.
The explosive book claims to lay bare true scale of the rift between Prince Harry and the rest of the Royal Family.
In his account of the “war” within the House Of Windsor, author Tom Bower says that when she heard that Harry would be attending the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral alone, Her Majesty the Queen said in a clear voice to her trusted aides: “Thank goodness Meghan is not coming."

Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on Bower’s claims. Philip died in April 2021 at the age of 99.
Tom Bower is known for his sensational, often scandalous, biographies of politicians and businessmen, including Boris Johnson, Richard Branson, Jeremy Corbyn, and Robert Maxwell – the disgraced newspaper magnate who was the father of Ghislaine Maxwell.
In his latest book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, he described how the four years after Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle transformed the Royal Family from “a relatively harmonious group, embracing multiculturalism as part of their service to Britain and the Commonwealth, into a beleaguered institution uncertain of its future”.
He blames Harry and Meghan for most of the conflict , saying “ the Sussexes had become agents of destruction”.
Bower describes how the name Lilibet was chosen for the Sussexes’ second child well before she was born, with a website address being registered two days before the birth was announced.

The Queen was “never asked” for permission for the use of her name, Bower says, instead Harry called her to tell her the decision had been made.
Bower is also scathing about the wrangling over Harry and Meghan’s appearance at Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Prince Charles, he says, blocked their wish to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony and refused to let them ride in a royal carriage.

The book is set to spark renewed controversy about Harry and Meghan’s decision to separate themselves from the rest of the working royals.
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan has been contacted for comment.
