Remember side-eye meme girl Chloe throwing shade from the backseat? She looks unrecognisable now

A LITTLE girl who shot to fame after a side-eye meme of her throwing shade from the backseat of a car now looks unrecognisable.

It's been nine years since two-year-old Chloe, dubbed Side-Eye Chloe, from Salt Lake City dampened her sister's enthusiastic reaction to news their family was taking them to Disneyland.

Now, Chloe, 10, looks almost unrecognisable since hitting internet stardom back in 2013.

Recent Instagram posts show a happy young teen parading around town with braces and doing peace signs.

The youngster also appears to have her own podcast, Podsitivity – Touching the World, and has more than 525,000 followers on Instagram.

Chloe and her mum Katie are trying to claim ownership of her world-famous meme, only to sell it back as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT).

NFTs are unique, irreplaceable goods that can sell for thousands, if not, millions of pounds.

For example, a one-of-a-kind trading card is non-fungible because trading it would give you a completely different card.

The Clem family are hoping it will help pay off the youngster's future college fees, according to the Huffington Post.

They will auction the image using the crypto Ethereum at a rate equaling roughly $15,000, the publication reports.

Her mum said selling the famous image was a "no-brainer".

She said: "It’s a cool opportunity, especially if there’s a Chloe fan out there who loves this meme they’ll be able to own it. Even Chloe has said ‘that’s pretty cool’ – it’s a typical 10-year-old thing to say.

"Chloe is like, ‘I’d like to buy a horse, I’d like to build a Walt Disney World,’ but I’d just like to put her through college."

Chloe became famous in 2013 when she was filmed reacting to news the family were off to a holiday at Disneyland.

Her hilariously unimpressed look as her mum, Katie Clem, exclaimed: "We're going to Disneyland!" rocketed her to internet stardom.

Her sister Lily was already famous for her extraordinary reaction to the news she was off to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse two years previously in 2011.

But it was Chloe's face in the 2013 video, which has been viewed more than 15million times, that was transformed into a meme used by sassy social media fans all over the world.

The family travelled to Brazil where they discovered that Chloe's disapproving expression was plastered all over the Google offices.

It comes as the woman featured in the Disaster Girl meme sold for $500,000 (£341,000) in 2021.
