A panther cub is being raised by a woman and her dog after being abandoned by her mum in a Siberian zoo.

Luna, the baby panther was completely rejected by her mother, who refused to give her much-needed milk and care.

The cub's chances for surviving were slim, but thankfully, an amazing woman and her dog came to the rescue.

Victoria, 31, came across the little one who was being starved of vital nutrients and decided to step in.

After a few months of visiting the zoo and feeding Luna, the cub became healthier than ever.

The woman grew attached to Luna and so she decided to buy her from the zoo to rehome her alongside her dog.

After a long process of making sure the cub and the rottweiler got along well together, Luna very quickly became part of the family.

Luna formed the most unlikely of friendships with a rottweiler, Venza and the pair are said to be 'inseparable.'

They are always playing, running, and exploring the world together – in what has become one of the internets most adorable friendships.

The woman who adopted the animals is now behind the @luna_the_pantera Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts.

She claims to have had experience with raising big cats and decided to help Luna survive by taking care of her – but warns against inexperienced people doing so.

The woman running the social media platforms for her beloved pets has worked up over 2.2million followers on TikTok and 178k on Instagram.

Luna is now almost 10 months old and weighs over 20.9kg.

She is now being trained in different 'classes but her owner has assured Instagram followers that she is not 'joining the circus.'

Posting as the big cat, she said: "I'll show you our classes, we're just getting started, so don't judge me harshly!

"Some people ask, what is it for? Luna won't be performing in a circus, and she's not a dog! Such training is very useful and necessary, they teach patience, attention, learn to hear and understand a human, a connection is established between you."

"All cats, and especially large ones, have incredible intelligence and since living next to a person they do not need to think through hunting, strategy and survival.

"In general all the functions of life support were taken over by the owner, the enrichment of their habitat, new toys, objects, smells, walks and such training make the life of the animal more interesting and happier."
