Royal Family would be 'crazy' to talk to Meghan Markle and Harry as 'privacy is last thing Sussexes want', expert says

THE Royal Family would be "crazy" to talk to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – as "privacy is the last thing the Sussexes want", an expert has claimed.

Royal commentator Angela Levin said any private conversations with the couple would appear on social media or in the press "in no time".

And she claimed they're "obsessed" with global coverage – and should "just continue their lives".

It comes after Meghan alerted the media that she'd been watching Philip's funeral from home after medics said she shouldn't travel.

It was also revealed that the Duchess left a handwritten note remembering her grandfather-in-law.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the Oprah interview, Meghan's pal revealed talks between William and Harry weren't "productive".

Gayle King told a US TV show she'd spoken to Meghan and Harry after the chat aired – and revealed the Duke of Sussex had been involved in a difficult chat with his brother and father.

And expert Angela said: "I think the Royal Family would be crazy to talk to Meghan and Harry.

"In no time it would be out in magazines and on social media."

It comes as:

  • Prince Harry met the Queen privately ‘at least twice’ and spoke with Charles and William after Philip’s funeral, a pal claims
  • The Duke will join brother William in the UK this summer to unveil a statue of their late mother Diana, an expert says
  • William held onto wife Kate's handbag yesterday as she tried out a flight simulator – and joked: "This is going to be interesting"
  • Prince Philip's long-time friend revealed the one thing the Queen did to annoy the Duke
  • Harry met Eugenie's baby son – even though she was "hurt" by his actions, according to reports

Angela, who has been critical of Meghan, added: “Whenever anything happens to them, big or small, they have to tell the world.

"They are obsessed with global. They should actually just continue their lives.

"People don’t need to know exactly what they are doing."

And she said that – despite the couple's frequent requests for privacy – it's "the last thing they want".

Meghan and Harry have faced huge media attention from around the world, despite stepping down as senior royals and moving to LA.

“It’s a nonsense," Angela said.

"They are desperate that everybody knows what they are doing every minute of the day."

She said she doesn't know how the seeming rift between the family can be repaired.

“When they talk about their quarrel or what they feel about the Royal Family, why would anybody speak to them? How can it be repaired?" she said.

“I do just think they should be quiet.

"They should get on with their lives."

Millions of people around the world will be desperate to see the family reunited – with photos of Kate, William and Harry speaking after the funeral sparking hopes the apparent feud is finally over.

But fellow royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said he hopes any family reunion in the future will be private.

"What is still totally unclear to me is what precisely the Sussexes want of the Royal Family now," he said.

"If there is going to be any reconciliation, it should be done privately."

It was revealed overnight that Meghan made a phone call to the Queen before the funeral.

And this morning, royal editor Russell Myers told ITV's Lorraine: "This is very interesting.

"It plays into the PR aspect of things going on across the pond."

Harry returned home to his pregnant wife the day before the Queen's 95th birthday yesterday.

"The saga continues. It'll be interesting to see how the rifts on each side will be repaired," Mr Myers said.
