Single bloke’s photos of his dinners go viral but he doesn’t get the fuss

A man posting photos of his bizarre evening meal choices has become an overnight internet sensation but doesn't have a clue why.

Jason Jovanovic, 45, was given an account on the platform through work but claims he had no idea what to post.

What followed was a series of snaps of his meals that would turn the man into an overnight viral sensation.

The single lad from Sheffield has attracted more than 30,000 followers thanks to his mish-mash meals including crab sticks with cheese and pepperoni crisps.

But the newfound internet celebrity doesn't understand "the fuss" and insists his single status has nothing to do with his cooking.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "I've never really been that good in the kitchen.

"I get messages from all over the world, people from Tokyo, China, places in America. I don't understand it myself.

"I don't see what all the fuss is about they're just my evening meals when I go home and make dinner.

"I'm single but I don't think it's anything to do with my culinary skills."

Jason, a customer assistant at Bonkers Competitions, is now receiving gifts and food challenges from restaurants who want to see if he can manage their meal.

Challenges have included a battered sausage dinner and a family-sized trifle, but Jason's sweet tooth isn't up for it, with his preference being the simple dishes he makes on his own.

Meals such as fish with bread and beans, ravioli with Yorkshire puddings and pork chops, or chilli con carne fish fingers and chips are preferred.

Jason rose to fame when his Instagram account, created four years ago, was shared in a Reddit thread.

He said: "I told work I'd probably never use the account because I didn't have anything to post. Then I decided I'd just start posting my dinners.

"I usually just make something out of whatever I've got in the cupboards and can pull together after work."
