Teen mum, 19, knifes woman in the head and attacks pregnant victim during horrifying attack but avoids jail

A TEEN mum knifed a woman in the head before attacking a pregnant victim but AVOIDED jail.

Lauren Belcher-Rainbow, 18 at the time, dodged prison because there would be no one to look after her child if she was locked up.

Belcher-Rainbow knew her victims and banged on the door of their home in Liskeard, Cornwall, before the attack in June last year.

She was screaming and swearing as she grabbed Jade Johns by the hair and punched her five times to the face.

She was on top of the victim before she pulled a knife from her pocket and cut her victim's head with blood pouring from the wound.

A second woman, who the defendant knew was pregnant, was grabbed and kicked in the stomach four times before the attacker was forced out of the property after 3am.

Belcher-Rainbow admitted assault causing actual bodily harm to Miss Johns and an assault on the second woman was taken into consideration.

He said that was the only reason she was getting a suspended jail sentence.

He jailed her for 15 months, suspended for two years, with a two year community order.

And he imposed a five-year restraining order banning her from contacting the victims.
