According to the latest WXCharts, temperatures across the country will remain mild throughout the rest of this week. By 6am on November 15, temperatures across England, Scotland and Wales will drop to 4C and will remain around the same for the rest of the week.
However, the weather is expected to turn bitterly cold towards the end of the month as the wintry conditions arrive.
By midnight on November 25, the entire country will wake up to frost and freezing weather as temperatures are expected to plummet to -3C.
The cold weather will continue for the rest of the month, with Scotland receiving the main brunt of the freezing temperatures.
On November 26, the Scottish Highlands – such as Inverness and Fort William – will see temperatures of around -7C.
At least six inches (16cm) of snow is expected to fall across the Scottish regions of Portree, Fort William and Inverness.
The cold weather will continue down through to England and Wales.
Newcastle and the north east of England will see the coldest temperatures of -2C.
But the whole country will see the freezing temperatures as the cold weather moves down Britain by the end of November.
According to WXCharts snowfalls of up to 10 inches (25cm) could be experienced across Scotland and the north east of England between November 23 and 25.
On November 23, up to between two and four inches (5-10cm) of snow could fall across most of Wales and the North of England.
Forecasters NetWeather also backed up these maps, with charts showing a 75 percent chance of snowfall in the Scottish Highlands and the likes of Newcastle and northern England from November 20.
The Met Office’s long-range forecast predicted rain is “possible at times” but there will be drier and brighter conditions in the south of England.

They said: “A rather cold start to the period will likely be followed by a brief recovery in temperatures, before a further likely trend down later on in the month.
“Later on in the month there will also be an increasing chance of some wintry conditions, mainly over the higher ground in the north, but with a slight risk to lower levels.”
For the end of November, the weather forecaster predicted temperatures will be “near or slightly below average”.
They continued: “Towards the end of November and into early December there are signs of an increased likelihood of north to northwesterly winds.
“This means that overall temperatures are likely to be near or slightly below average, although some milder spells cannot be ruled out.
“In such patterns the most unsettled, wetter and windier conditions are often found across northern areas, while the most settled, driest and brightest conditions are predominantly across the south.
“There is a slightly higher than normal chance of some wintry conditions, especially across the north.”
BBC Weather forecaster Carol Kirkwood said this week: “This morning it’s a chilly start for some of us, especially so across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.
“Come further south, we’ve got more cloud, some rain around, the temperature is around 10C or 11C.
“There’s a band of rain with us, it’s a weather front, it’s been sinking southwards and then eventually will start moving northwards again.
“A peppering of showers across the north and the west. A lot of cloud in the south, clearer skies in the north, and that’s were we’ve got some frost.
“Quite a bit of sunshine in northern England and also Northern Ireland as we go through the morning, with a few showers in the west.”
