Victoria has recorded two new local cases of coronavirus in the past day. Both are primary close contacts of existing cases, with no community exposure during their infectious period.

Four cases were found in hotel quarantine and there are now 64 active cases in the state.

There were about 16,900 tests processed and 13,764 vaccine doses administered on Sunday.

Daily case numbers have dropped in recent days, only one new local case was reported on Sunday, linked to the Arcare Maidstone outbreak, but not a resident of the facility. One new local case was reported on Saturday.

Holiday plans are in limbo as the 25-kilometre travel restriction remains in place. Gyms, yoga, dance classes, amusement parks, nightclubs and home gatherings are also banned under current lockdown restrictions.
