Who is Trevor Bauer accuser Ms Hill?

LOS Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer has been accused in court of sexually and physically assaulting a woman.

Bauer was initially accused of becoming physical with Ms. Hill during two sexual encounters in April and May of 2020.

Who is Trevor Bauer's accuser Ms. Hill and what did she say in her testimony?

Trevor Bauer’s accuser has only been identified as “Ms. Hill” at her attorney's request, and her personal details remain scarce.

The 27-year-old said she had sexual encounters with Bauer in April and May.

On August 16, Ms. Hill took the stand and spoke publicly for the first time about her encounter with Bauer.

During her testimony, Ms. Hill said that after arriving at Bauer's Pasadena residence during their first encounter in late April, they had an emotionally vulnerable conversation for hours where they bonded.

She said that they talked about Bauer's three dating rules: "no feelings, no social media posts, and he can sleep with other people."

Then, she alleged in her testimony that about 2 minutes into kissing and cuddling in his room, "He was becoming a little bit more aggressive."

Ms. Hill also demonstrated how he allegedly choked her with her own hair happened as they began having intercourse, saying, "I had no idea that I was going to go unconscious. It was very forceful and very painful."

After describing the alleged incident, she told the court that she woke up to being anally penetrated by Bauer, which she repeated that she did not consent to.

"Every step I took was shooting pain," she said about the anal penetration.

"Since I've gotten sober, I haven't had a ton of sex so I'm still trying to figure it out. I was just trying to impress him and give him what he wants because he was polarizing," she added.

After the initial alleged assault, she alleged to the court: "I was really sick from going unconscious. I couldn't really form a sentence. I couldn't really move my body."

She told the court that regaining consciousness after he choked her triggered her because it made her think about waking up in a hospital after her previous alcohol overdoses.

"I was so embarrassed that I couldn't live up to what his standard of sex was," she added in her testimony.

When the two texted about seeing each other in May again, the woman told the court, "I wanted to see him again to try to get some power back and have a better experience to forget about the first one."

She described in her testimony allegedly being choked by Bauer and punched in the face and all over her body during their second encounter in May.

"When he would hit my face, my eyes would close," she described to the court, "I felt like my soul left my body."

"It was like I was just a rag doll. I couldn't physically get a word out. It was like he wasn't treating me like I was a human being," she alleged to the court.

She told the court that after battling consciousness between being choked and then punched in the face, "my lips split open and my gums turned black."

"He was making me feel like it was my fault – like I had asked for it," she added.

Was Ms. Hill denied a restraining order?

On August 19, Bauer's accuser was denied a restraining order after a four-day court battle.

"In this case, the court finds there is no supporting evidence that Bauer would cause any harm or even have contact with her," Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman determined.

Ms. Hill claimed that Bauer inflicted "severe physical and emotional pain" on a woman he met online, claiming that both sexual encounters turned violent. Bauer denied any wrongdoing.

The judge ruled that Ms. Hill "wanted more of a relationship" with Bauer, and that "being punched, having black eyes and being hospitalized" are consequences of the acts that she consented to, including choking.

It comes after the Dodgers pitcher said he would plead the fifth during his August 19 hearing, speaking only to say "yes, your honor" when asked if he intends to implement his right to every question.

What has Trevor Bauer been accused of?

The pitcher, 30, is being investigated by police for the same allegations raised in the court case.

Hill claims that both the sexual encounters turned violent.

Bauer denies the claims and plans to refute them, his representatives said, and he has not been arrested or charged with any crime.

What has Trevor Bauer said about the allegations?

On February 8, 2022, according to TMZ, the decision was made to not charge the Dodgers pitcher over the sexual assault allegations.

Text messages between him and accuser Ms. Hill indicated that she was looking for rough sex.

The baseball pitcher released a statement via his YouTube account commenting on the allegations from Ms. Hill.

"Today the District Attorney’s office publicly stated that they are not going to file any charges. I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to address this and I’ve wanted to for some time now, and now I'm finally able to speak, so here it goes," Bauer's statement began.

"In August, the Los Angeles Superior Court reviewed a host of information and testimony, and after a four day hearing denied a request for a permanent restraining order against me, as the Court correctly found that there was no basis for this request.

"More importantly, in doing so, the Court also found that no sexual assault, act of abuse, or non-consensual sex occurred between me and the woman seeking the restraining order. And today, the District Attorney's Office announced that they are declining to press any charges."

He later went on to say how quickly allegations can cause the media to paint people in a certain light before the investigations are through.

"Allegations like this are extremely serious, and they should be thoroughly investigated, as has happened in this matter.

"However it's alarming to watch how quickly, willingly, and knowingly certain members of the media have taken one side of a story and tried to convict me in the court of public opinion without having or choosing to report anywhere close to all of the facts.

"I'm relieved to finally be able to share the truth with you. Thanks for hearing me out and I'll see you all soon," Bauer concluded.

Bauer has been on paid leave from the LA Dodgers since June 28, 2021, and has mostly maintained his silence about the allegations, instead of denying them through representatives.

However, he spoke out for the first time via Twitter and addressed the claims made against him.

"While I have allowed my representatives to speak on my behalf over the last six weeks, I can no longer be silent. I will speak very candidly about the current petition when appropriate, but need to address the allegations made today in The Washington Post," he said.

He followed the comment with a statement that read, "The Washington Post has spent the last six weeks digging into my life and attempting to contact hundreds of female friends and acquaintances with whom they suspect I had some form of romantic relationship – some of whom I haven't contacted in over a decade – in an effort to create a false narrative."

He continued on to say that he has been contacted by the women The Washington Post reached out to, some of whom felt "uncomfortable" by the contact from reporters.

Bauer claimed this is an effort for Hill to "make good on her promise" to create a "false narrative."

Bauer's representatives deny the claims and plan to refute Ms. Hill's claims.

His representatives' statement reads:

"Mr. Bauer had a brief and wholly consensual sexual relationship initiated by [the woman] beginning in April 2021. We have messages that show [the woman] repeatedly asking for “rough” sexual encounters involving requests to be “choked out” and slapped in the face. In both of their encounters, [the woman] drove from San Diego to Mr. Bauer’s residence in Pasadena, Calif., where she went on to dictate what she wanted from him sexually and he did what was asked. Following each of her only two meetings with Mr. Bauer, [the woman] spent the night and left without incident, continuing to message Mr. Bauer with friendly and flirtatious banter. In the days following their second and final encounter, [the woman] shared photos of herself and indicated that she had sought medical care for a concussion. Mr. Bauer responded with concern and confusion, and [the woman] was neither angry nor accusatory.

Mr. Bauer and [the woman] have not corresponded in over a month and have not seen each other in over six weeks. Her basis for filing a protection order is nonexistent, fraudulent, and deliberately omits key facts, information, and her own relevant communications. Any allegations that the pair’s encounters were not 100% consensual are baseless, defamatory, and will be refuted to the fullest extent of the law."
