A couple of ride-goers at a Christmas theme park have been left traumatised after supports for the ride they were on snapped – leaving them trapped and frightened.
The horror moment, caught on camera and posted on social media late last night (December 14) happened at the Winter Wonderland event in Hyde Park, London.
Two unnamed male riders were hoping to have a fun experience on a bungee pod ride – which normally sees those sitting inside the giant ball pod flung high into the air on bungee cords like a slingshot, before landing safely on a padded area – but they were left stranded inside after the pod smashed into the support beams.

As seen in the videos, one of the support cords snapped during the ride and the pod was thrown from side to side.
The one remaining cord ended up recoiling and throwing the ball into the support beams, which then left the poor blokes dangling in mid-air – and on its side.
According to the Daily Mail, witness said that they saw the pair being taken to hospital.
The Daily Star has reached out to Winter Wonderland for a comment.
Other videos show the London Fire Brigade attending the scene, and the Daily Star has also reached out to them for an update.
The news of the ride fail comes just a few days after a 24-year-old was slashed in the neck outside the event.
The attack happened at 9.30pm on Sunday (December 11), and saw the victim taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Nobody was arrested, and police investigations are ongoing, with Winter Wonderland management working with officers to find out what happened.
Viral TikTok footage showed police – in extremely snowy conditions – walking around the area, while cordoning it off.
Metropolitan Police has asked to speak to anyone with information about the incident.
