Woman apologises after freaking out over ‘not real’ passenger on flight

A woman who went viral for screaming about a 'not real' passenger on an American Airlines flight has now apologised for her behaviour.

Marketing executive Tiffany Gomas said her life has been "blown up" since she hit headlines for bellowing expletives in the strange plane tirade video last month.

The clip saw the 38-year-old pointing at the back of the domestic US flight cabin, shouting: "I’m getting the f*** off and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f*** off and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it.

"I don’t give two f***s, but I am telling you right now – that motherf***er back there is NOT real. You can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not. I'm not going to."

The July 2 incident happened on Flight 1009, which was scheduled to depart from Fort Worth, Dallas to Orlando.

But she has since responded to what has now become a viral meme with a clip on Instagram apologizing for her behaviour as she claims it was her "very worst moment was captured on video."

In her response, which has gained more than 12,000 likes, she said: "First and foremost, I want to take full accountability for my actions. They were completely unacceptable, distressed or not.

"I should have been in control of my emotions and that was not the case. My use of profanity was completely unnecessary, and I want to apologise to everyone on that plane, especially those that had children aboard.

"I can't imagine going through that and trying to explain to your kid what in the world just happened.

"We all have our bad moments, some far worse than others, and mine happened to be caught on camera for the whole world to see multiple times."

She went on to say that while she had enjoyed many of the memes about the incident but she still found it "invasive and unkind".

"I hope that you guys can accept my apology and I can begin to move on with my life," she added.

It comes after Gomas spoke to DailyMail.com and asked that "no one judge" her as "no one knows what it's like".
