A woman is facing jail time after pretending to be a man and duping her partner into penetrative sex.
Blade Silvano, 40, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault by penetration at Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday (May 23).
Twice Silvano, who does not define herself as a woman but as pansexual, had fooled her unnamed victim into sex with an “unknown object” under the pretence she was male.

Silvano, of Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, is understood to have never let the partner touch her genitalia during intercourse and lied about both being a member of the British Army and having cancer.
The couple had lived separately but are understood to have communicated on a regular basis. They had even been in the early days of planning a wedding.
The relationship, with its frequent distance-based communication, lasted around two years with the two first having met in 2016 on the dating site Plenty of Fish.
They had met in person in December of that year, where they first “kissed” and would go on to have “intercourse”.
Following a unanimous verdict from the jury, Silvano is now understood to be facing a “substantial” jail sentence, which is likely to be at least part custodial and requests for bail were rejected.
His Honour, Judge Philip Grey, said bail was rejected because the evidence she gave was "some of the most dishonest evidence I've ever heard on my time on the bench."
He added: "Now, you've been convicted, it is inevitable you are facing a lengthy custodial sentence."
The evidence, he said, was “utterly, utterly overwhelming” and reiterated she had been found guilty of “two extremely serious crimes”.
Silvano will be sentenced at the next hearing on June 6.
Speaking at the trial the victim – who referred to Silvano as he – said: "When we had sex, Blade would usually blindfold me and I was never allowed to look at the penetration occurring.
"He would never allow me to go near his genital region and I never saw his penis."
The victim added they were "able to move my hands freely down the side and his back," but added: "I was never able to put my hands underneath his clothes or down his boxers."
She added: "He would rebuff me every time I tried to make an advance; he would nudge me away.
"He was using sex toys on me; it was not allowed the other way round.
"He told me he was a man and it was on that basis I agreed to have sex with him.
"He didn't tell me he was female but he penetrated me with something – and I haven't consented to it."

Silvano claimed she was open about her gender from the outset and said that although not medically a “woman” on her birth certificate didn’t define herself as such.
Giving evidence, Silvano said: "She knew I was female, again it was the roleplay.
"We were both having problems at home and it was like our escapism.
"This was our roleplay – she wanted that. It doesn't mean it actually happened. She can tell I'm not male. Her referring to me as a man is roleplay.
"She knew from the start."
Prosecution barrister Michael Hillman told her: "It was roleplay only for you, as she believed every word you said.
"She was head over heels in love with you and you exploited that with your constant lies, stringing her along.
"And you did that because you got a kick out of it, stringing this woman along – holding you out to be someone you are not."
