Woman spots ‘big orange eyes’ of ‘stalking’ mystery beast at Brit beauty spot

A woman has been left utterly terrified after spotting two huge “orange eyes” she believes belong to a mysterious animal.

The strange sighting occurred at Flamborough Head in Yorkshire.

It was seen near the famous still-active lighthouse used as a waypoint for passing deep sea vessels and coastal traffic.

The unnamed woman, posting in a Facebook group used for Bigfoot sightings, said: “I saw a set of big, orange eyes watching us from about 10 to 12 metres away.

“They were just staring at us in the dark – this was at Flamborough Head and very near the Lighthouse.

“I have searched on the Internet for any eyes of any animal that resemble what I saw but can't find any.

“Whatever it was it seemed to be stalking us as it was flat to the floor.

“I would say the look in the eyes confirmed this (and) when I swung my torch a second time it had flanked us and was making a retreat as I only saw the eyes sideways.”

The woman claims she never saw the body of the unknown animal, and that the sighting actually took place around a year ago.

She added: “Despite the torchlight, I never even glimpsed a body, so I'm presuming it was a very dark colour and in poor light it blended in with surroundings.

“It's been a year since I saw it and I still have no idea as to what it was.”

According to specialists Yorkshire Coast Nature, the only animals found in the area are barn owls, peregrines, roe deer and brown hares – none of which have bright orange eyes.

The area is actually a designated special area of conservation, and has a large number of submerged and partially submerged sea caves.

Some would say the caves, of which there are around 200, would be perfect hiding places for mysterious animals . . .
