WWE legend Jerry “The King” Lawler has suffered his second "massive stroke" in six years.
The 73-year-old, who is known to most wrestling fans as being part of the most iconic WWE commentary duo alongside Jim Ross during the late 90s to early 2000s, was rushed to hospital on Monday (February 6) after suffering a stroke.
Earlier reports claim that it was a blood blockage on the right side of his brain, but no official confirmation of that has been released by Lawler. He is expected to make a full recovery.

It is his second stroke, after being hit by one in 2018 – just six years after having a heart attack during a live television broadcast of Monday Night Raw.
It had been reported that Lawler was found face down in a car park by a friend before being taken to hospital, but those reports remain unverified.
However, in an update on his Twitter feed, a spokesman said: “After suffering a massive Stroke Monday (sic), he is now recovering in a Fort Myers, FL hospital.
“His speech is limited, but with rehabilitation will regain a full recovery.
“He thanks everyone for the continued prayers and will be back in the near future.”

His post was commented by several current wrestlers wishing him well.
Nikki and Brie Bella wrote: “Praying for you Jerry!
“Sending so much love!!”
And Lance Storm posted: “Awesome news. I’d bet he still has a better punch than 1/2 the business. “All the best on a full recover #LongLiveTheKing.”

WWE quote tweeted the post, wishing The King a “speedy recovery”.
Lawler has yet to retire officially from in-ring competition, and actually wrestled just a few weeks ago, beating the Beer City Bruiser at America's Most Liked Wrestling (yes, that is the company's name) event Acts of War Games Two on January 21.
According to Cage Match, he was wrestling around two matches per month most months in 2022 – and showed no signs of slowing down.
