AJ Odudu, 33, and Kai Widdrington, 26, have been heating up the dance floor with their steamy performances. The TV presenter has revealed how the Strictly Come Dancing professional has been teaching her how to “act” and said there has been “chemistry” between them.
She told The Sun: “Right, So Kai has not only been teaching me how to dance but he’s been teaching me how to act.
“There’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of chemistry, there’s a lot of romance, it’s thrilling!
“And in practice, I could not look at Kai without bursting out into laughter. But now hopefully come Saturday night, I’m going to look at him eye to eye, look in love and it’s going to be amazing. But it is awkward!
For many, getting up close and personal with someone you’ve only just met could be tricky, but AJ said her mind is too focused on perfecting the routines to think about it.
AJ insisted her mind is completely focused on getting her steps right.
Kai has described AJ as a “dream student” and said both of them are “very ambitious” and driven.
It comes after AJ recently revealed she still feels “the pressure” of live shows, despite her incredible dance routines on the show so far.
Her worries may come as a shock to Strictly fans, who have praised the star on the palpable chemistry between her and professional dancer Kai, who was overheard telling her: “I love you so much,” after a recent performance.
Viewers are unable to hear conversations between contestants in real-time due to Dave Arch and his orchestra.
However, in a clip shared on BBC’s Strictly Instagram, Kai could be heard praising AJ for her efforts after their The Bodyguard-inspired American Smooth last Saturday.
He could be heard saying: “Aww, I love you! I love you so much!”
The partners have reportedly grown close during their gruelling hours of training together and have “really hit it off”.

Each week, the show releases the “secret mic” audio which reveals what the contestants say to each other on the dance floor.
It comes after a source claimed to The Sun that “sparks are flying between the pair” and that “romance is 100 per cent on the cards”.
Kai is believed to be single after splitting from his dancer girlfriend of five years Giulia Dotta, 29, earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, AJ recently said she has unsuccessfully tried dating apps after struggling to find a partner, adding: “I just don’t meet anyone, aside from TV programmes I’ve done”.
A source divulged: “Everyone backstage is talking about the sparks flying between AJ and Kai. It’s very passionate and intense whenever they’re together.
“They’re both single and have really hit it off and everyone on the show is saying it’s only a matter of time.
“They’re always laughing and flirting — romance is 100 per cent on the cards.Kai is totally AJ’s type. He’s got loads of banter and he’s been blown away by her, too.”
