Alexandra Burke ‘is set to make a musical comeback’… a decade after the release of her last album Heartbreak On Hold
Alexandra Burke is reportedly set to make a musical comeback next year, 10 years after her last album Heartbreak On Hold was released.
The X-factor winner, 33, recently won the celebrity edition of the show SAS: Who Dares Wins and ever since the victory has apparently been working on a new album.
The new album is apparently set to be in the ‘high octane pop music’ genre, according to The Sun.

A source told the publication: ‘Alexandra is back in the studio and feeling more inspired than ever. She performed all of her hits at Mighty Hoopla in London at the beginning of September and the reaction was so overwhelming that it has given her the push to make huge floor-filling pop songs again.’
The Bad Boys hitmaker has reportedly been eyed up three major record labels and apparently will be collaborating with major names in the industry.
The source continued: ‘Her creative juices are flowing and she feels like a brand new artist after winning SAS. She’s got a lot more to give. Life is exciting again for her and she’s back in her happy place.

‘She put a snippet of a song out on her social media earlier this week and felt overwhelmed by the response and good will. She feels like she’s making her first album again.’
Alexandra made hits with the X-factor single Hallelujah and Start Without You and is now allegedly working with producers Dot Inc and Parx, who have created songs for Sean Paul and Wes Nelson.
More recently, Alexandra has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and West End shows including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Although she made a comeback in 2018 with the album The Truth Is, which was centred on ballads, the new tracks are set to be upbeat songs akin to her older songs.
Alexandra has had other projects aside from her musical career as she has been appointed as an inaugural ambassador of the Royal Commonwealth Society in June this year.
Alongside Spice Girl Geri Horner (née Halliwell), comedian David Walliams and MP Gyles Brandreth, Alexandra will help promote educational opportunities within the Commonwealth.
