Ben Affleck grabs some Starbucks beverages for him and 11-year-old son Samuel… just a day after promoting his new film Air in New York City

Just a day after promoting his new film Air in New York City with Matt Damon and Viola Davis, Ben Affleck is back in Los Angeles, spending some time with his 11-year-old son Samuel.

The 50-year-old actor and filmmaker was spotted getting beverages for him and Samuel at a Starbucks in Brentwood, California.

He was also spotted with his mother Chris as he chatted on the phone while walking with his mother and son.

Affleck stepped out with a white t-shirt under a blue cardigan sweater under a unique blue coat.

He held a large beverage while chatting on the phone, sporting a trimmed beard for the outing.

The multi-hyphenate completed his look with a pair of black jeans and white Air Jordan sneakers.

His son Samuel stepped out with a green t-shirt under a white basketball jersey while walking with his dad.

The 11-year-old also sported blue basketball shorts and red sneakers for the outing on Wednesday.

Ben’s mother Chris was seen walking with her son and grandson, sporting a dark blue coat, grey sweats and green sneakers.

Affleck has been promoting his new film Air, which chronicles a Nike salesman named Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) landing Michael Jordan, with Affleck playing Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

During a rather candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter last week, Affleck also opened up about whether or not he’d be interested in directing a DC movie under the new regime headed up by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

‘I would not direct something for the (James) Gunn DC. Absolutely not,’ Affleck succinctly stated.

‘I have nothing against James Gunn. Nice guy, sure he’s going to do a great job. I just wouldn’t want to go in and direct in the way they’re doing that. I’m not interested in that,’ Affleck clarified.

He added that superhero stories like Justice League have, ‘became somewhat repetitive to me and less interesting,’ though he admits he did finally ‘figure out how to play’ Batman in his appearance in The Flash.

‘I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it’s just tone,’ Affleck explained.

‘You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we did, especially the first one, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

When asked ‘what went wrong’ on 2017’s Justice League – which united some of the biggest superheroes in the DC comics library but was plagued with tragedy and disaster – Affleck said, ‘You could teach a seminar on all the reasons why this is how not to do it.’

‘Ranging from production to bad decisions to horrible personal tragedy, and just ending with the most monstrous taste in my mouth,’ Affleck said.

He added, ‘The genius, and the silver lining, is that Zack Snyder eventually went to AT&T and was like, “Look, I can get you four hours of content.” And it’s principally just all the slow motion that he shot in black-and-white.’

After The Flash hits theaters in June, Affleck will also return as The Dark Knight in Aquaman and the Lost Kindom, in theaters December 25.

The actor also stars in director Robert Rodriguez’s new film Hypnotic, which debuted at SXSW and hits theaters May 12.
